The price depends on the word count of your manuscript and the work that needs to be done.
While editing I will check grammar, punctuation, spelling, missing words, sentence structure, verb tense, word choice, timeline issues, etc. If there are any plot issues I will point them out.

It mostly depends on how much editing needs to be done! Please, contact me for an exact price.
If you need me for proofreading only to make sure your book is ready to be published, please specify that in your message as it won't take as much time as editing and can be done on shorter notice.

When I return those first pages to you I will let you know how much time it will take and when you can expect your manuscript back.

Payment
I expect the fee either at the beginning when you send the manuscript or before I send it back to you.
I offer payments in two installments starting at $400 or more.
So if you are interested and in need of an editor, please contact me.
